The card worked perfect and was everything we hoped it would be. They do not even stock it in the stores around here yet so we really got a jump thru Amazon.
The only issue that I had was getting it function. If you have a Vista HCX you have to have the latest update for the GPS for the card to function in the GPS. You have to figure this out on your personal because garmin doesn’t have any info to this in with the card. Garmin offers two, free to download, guides for utilizing a GPSr. One specifically covers using your GPSr in conjunction with a paper TOPO map. These are both great resources and are worth reading, particularly if you’re unfamiliar with the wealth of info a great TOPO map offers.
The DVD installed the map software on the pc with the usual intuitive mac interface. The first time i ran map install it prompted me to download an updated version, which i did. This took 20 minutes. I had the 2GB micro sd card within the GPS. Read the rest of this entry
